Lunch Box menu (South Indian) -Sambar Sadam, Mixed veg raita, Curd rice and Watermelon |
Like every parent's complaint "My son/daughter is not finishing the lunch box ", mine was same too.
I tried buying Colourful lunch box to attract my kiddo to finish off his Lunch Box. No difference at all, then I started concentrating on adding colourful and healthy food in his lunch box. It really worked, most of the time the lunch box was empty.
Adding fruits and veggies, will not only make the lunch box appealing but also gives enough nutrients to the growing ones. Any seasonal fruit will work better.
In fact, during my school days my mother used to give boiled sweet potatoes for my snack period. Instead of filling your kid's lunch box with biscuits and chips, why not try giving boiled peanuts, boiled corns (makka cholam),boiled sweet potatoes, kadalai urundai etc. These traditional snacks are harmless as well as gives loads of energy to them.
This Lunch menu is a fantastic combo of nutrients, proteins, carbohydrates, good bacteria rich curd/yogurt.
This menu is suitable to office goers too.
